Spring returns to the earth, and all things revive, with a vibrant upsurge of spring ploughing sweeping across the vast fields of the country. Currently, the annual spring sowing work is in full swing in all regions, as farmers seize the golden period of farming to lay the groundwork for a bumper harvest. A batch of advanced intelligent air-suction seeders have made their grand debut in the fields, gradually replacing the traditional and inefficient sowing methods with their remarkable advantages of high precision, high efficiency, seed conservation and labor saving. These intelligent machines not only inject strong technological momentum into the spring ploughing work, but also effectively improve the overall farming efficiency, laying a solid and reliable foundation for the full-year grain production and harvest.554

Based on the scientific principle of negative pressure adsorption, air-suction seeders can stably "suck" each seed by precisely regulating the air pressure inside the machine, thus achieving accurate single-seed picking and precise sowing in the soil. This advanced working mode has completely solved the long-standing problems of uneven sowing, serious seed waste and uneven seedling emergence that have plagued traditional sowing methods for a long time. It should be noted that this type of seeder has certain requirements on the shape of seeds, and is only suitable for seeds with relatively regular grains or those treated by professional pelleting technology. Compared with traditional seeders, it has obvious and unique advantages: its equipped high-precision electronic control system and laser positioning device, like a "smart brain" and "clairvoyance" installed on the seeder, can flexibly adjust sowing parameters in real time according to the actual situation of the field, timely monitor abnormal phenomena such as seed leakage and reseeding, and issue automatic alarms to remind operators. This intelligent design can reduce the seed loss rate by nearly 10%, effectively saving the planting costs for farmers and improving the economic benefits of planting.4

At Erlongshan Farm of Beidahuang Group, a major grain production base in China, 22 newly purchased high-speed electronically controlled air-suction precision seeders are neatly parked in the farmland. After professional technicians have carried out strict debugging and performance testing, these machines have been officially put into efficient sowing operation. "Manual sowing used to be extremely tiring and time-consuming, and the sowing effect was uneven; but with this intelligent 'good helper', one machine can easily finish sowing more than 200 mu of land a day," a local farmer said with a smile. He added that the seeder integrates fertilization, sowing and soil covering in one go, and the sowing depth and plant spacing can be controlled accurately to the millimeter level, which is crucial for ensuring the quality of seedlings. It is reported that this batch of air-suction seeders is expected to cover a total sowing area of 456,000 mu, effectively ensuring that the seedlings grow uniformly, evenly and strongly in the later stage.

In recent years, with the strong support of national agricultural machinery purchase subsidy policies, air-suction seeders have become more and more popular among farmers, and the localization level of this type of equipment has also been continuously improved and broken through. At present, domestic air-suction seeders have achieved a single-seed sowing rate of more than 95% for major grain crops such as corn and soybeans, which is comparable to international advanced levels. In addition, some high-end models are also equipped with the Beidou navigation system, which has a positioning accuracy of centimeter level. These intelligent seeders can automatically plan the operation path according to the field conditions, and complete the sowing work independently without manual operation, truly realizing unmanned and intelligent farming, and greatly improving the efficiency of agricultural production.55

The wide application of air-suction seeders has not only greatly reduced the labor intensity of farmers, freeing them from the heavy manual sowing work, but also effectively promoted the transformation of agricultural production from extensive management to precise and intelligent development. Relevant person in charge of the agricultural department stated that in the future, they will further increase the promotion efforts of intelligent agricultural machinery, carry out targeted technical training for farmers, and help them master the use skills of air-suction seeders. At the same time, they will continue to guide more advanced and practical agricultural machinery equipment to enter the fields, so as to empower the high-quality development of agriculture and inject strong impetus into ensuring national food security.
