Every seeder is built around several core components that determine its performance during field operations.

The seeding unit is the heart of the machine. It uses a vacuum chamber to generate a steady suction force at the multiple seeding holes on the rotating disc. As the disc rotates, seeds are picked up one by one and held firmly against the seeding holes until they reach the release point, at which point the vacuum is cut off and the seeds fall into the seed furrow. This mechanism minimizes mechanical contact with the seeds, thereby reducing the risk of seed cracking or damage-a common problem with early mechanical seeders that relied on physical clamping or brush-feed methods.

The furrow opener assembly features a design suitable for a wide range of soil types, from sandy loam to heavier clay soils. Depth adjustment is simple, with clear scale markings and a locking mechanism to ensure a stable position during operation. Each row unit is independently mounted on parallel links, allowing it to conform to the ground contour and maintain a consistent seeding depth even on uneven terrain.

The compaction wheel and soil-covering system are located behind the furrow opener. They compact the soil around the seeds, ensuring full contact between the seeds and the soil for uniform germination. The soil-covering mechanism is adjustable to control the amount of soil returned to the seed furrow, which is particularly useful when dealing with varying soil moisture or organic matter content.

Seed-Friendly Suction Mechanism

The vacuum system gently draws in seeds with virtually no mechanical impact. This is particularly important for irregularly shaped seeds (such as lettuce) or carrot seeds with fine hairs or tiny appendages. Since the seed coat remains intact, germination rates are higher.

The drive system features sealed oil-bath lubrication, eliminating the need for daily lubrication. The fan uses a belt drive with an automatic tensioner, eliminating the need for frequent belt tension adjustments.
Flexibility for Multiple Crops

By changing the seeding discs and adjusting the vacuum pressure, the same machine can sow carrots, onions, lettuce, and other small-seeded vegetables. This allows growers to plant a variety of crops with a single seeder, thereby improving equipment utilization.
Built-in row shut-off function

Each row can be shut off individually, which is particularly useful when working on irregularly shaped fields or when starting and stopping operations at field edges. This feature also allows the operator to narrow the working width as needed without having to remove the row units.

Carrots

Carrot seeds are tiny and germinate slowly, so precise seeding is crucial. Our seeders can plant individual seeds at uniform intervals, thereby reducing the need for thinning and promoting even root growth. Shallow furrow seeding and light soil coverage fully meet the cultivation requirements for carrots.

Onions

Whether for bulb onions or shallots, this seeder can handle both bare and coated seeds. Gentle suction prevents damage to the seed coat, and adjustable row spacing accommodates various production systems-from the dense planting required for small bulbs to the wide row spacing needed for large onions.

Lettuce 

Lettuce seeds are light and can be tricky to handle with mechanical seeders. The air suction system handles them reliably, and the precise depth control ensures good emergence, which is particularly important for head lettuce varieties that need uniform stand establishment.

Other small-seeded vegetables 

The machine also works well with cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, and certain herb seeds. For customers growing a mix of vegetable crops, this versatility adds value.

Scale of operation

Field conditions 

The seeder performs well in prepared seedbeds with good tilth. It can handle minimal-till conditions as long as residues are managed, but it is optimized for conventional vegetable beds that are well-leveled and free of large clods.

We operate under a controlled production system that covers every stage from incoming material inspection to finished machine testing. Each machine undergoes a 30-minute test run on our in-house test stand before it is cleared for delivery. For domestic transport within China, seeders are typically loaded onto flatbed trucks, wrapped in protective film, and fitted with cushioning pads along the edges. For large orders, we ship via container, using custom-made steel frames to securely fasten the machines and prevent them from shifting during transit.

For export orders, we pack each seeder in a heavy-duty wooden or steel crate based on the destination port and mode of transport. The main frame is bolted to the bottom of the crate, while smaller components-such as spare seeding discs, tool kits, and instruction manuals-are packed in separate boxes within the same crate.

We partner with multiple freight forwarders to offer flexible shipping solutions. For FOB terms at the Port of Qingdao, we will handle all export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and any required certificates of origin or inspection certificates.

Installation and commissioning 

For first-time buyers, we offer free remote guidance on assembly and commissioning. For larger orders (five units or more), we can send a technician to the customer's site for on-the-ground setup and training. This service includes a full day of field operation to dial in the settings for the specific crop and soil conditions.

Technical documentation

Each machine comes with a detailed operation and maintenance manual written in plain language. We also provide video tutorials covering common procedures-changing seed discs, adjusting depth, calibrating the monitoring system, and performing seasonal maintenance. These videos are accessible online and can be downloaded for offline viewing.

Spare parts availability

We stock a full range of wearing parts at our factory warehouse, including seed discs, opener shanks, press wheel tires, and fan belts. For high-turnover parts, we keep inventory levels sufficient to cover at least six months of normal consumption. Parts can be ordered directly and shipped via express courier for urgent needs.

Warranty terms

The main frame and transmission housing are covered by a12-month warranty against manufacturing defects. Wear parts (seed discs, openers, press wheels, belts) are covered for 6 months or 500 hours of operation, whichever comes first. During the warranty period, we replace any defective parts free of charge and cover the shipping cost for the replacement parts.
